Bold and Daring! This book has definitely stood up to it's hype! I can never say anything bad about this book because I've been in total awe the moment I read this book. I was gasping for more action and I totally got satisfied with what I'm looking for. It was thoroughly thought provoking, I got to the part where I ask questions and with the question comes with the answer. I kept reading until I get it. I applaud for the author who went through everything she has to write this book. I explored different kinds of possibilities for this book, I went beyond just reading. I questioned myself for reading this book and all I got for an answer is that I didn't regret reading this book for one second. If you're asking me if the book is worth reading I totally can say that it is! You should read this book and be amazed on how good the author is with words. The plot is also amazing that it would totally stick to you when and after you read this one!

Book Review: Zombie Candy by Frederick Lee Brooke

From her gorgeous husband to her acclaimed cooking classes, Candace Roach’s life looks nearly perfect from the outside. Well, appearances can be deceiving. Her husband, Larry, has three unruly addictions that drive her to the brink–zombie movies, cilantro, and having sex with other women. Luckily, her best friend Annie Ogden is back from Iraq and armed with a private investigator’s license and a fierce determination to see Candace happy again.
Together, the women uncover the ridiculous extent of Larry’s infidelity. He needs to be punished, that much is clear. But how can they hit him where it counts? Oh, if only she could find a way to tap into those three little addictions–what a lesson that would be. Italy is calling, as are the zombies in the night, as suburban housewife Candace Roach transforms herself into the ultimate fidelity vigilante, complete with a badass motorcycle, a very small pistol, and the nom de guerre ”Zombie Candy.”
What readers are saying…
Fasten your seat belts for the wild ride provided by this graphic and gritty work full of twists, turns, surprises and gourmet recipes to boot.
I laughed until my sides hurt…. Brooke does a fantastic job of paying homage to the zombie movies we love in this hilarious parody. Annie Ogden fans will not be disappointed.
Zombie Candy is a tasty morsel of revenge, regret, renewal, friendship and love with a zombie invasion that’s as good and fun as a box of Good n Plenty.
Overall ZOMBIE CANDY is an extraordinarily fun ride, but not your cliché roller coaster. No, this ones builds to a crescendo, again walking the reader (and the victim) through the labyrinth of one of the best revenge stories I’ve read in a long while.
Brooke keeps us guessing the whole time, and then leaves you with your mouth hanging open at the end: Did I just read that?!
“The First Wives Club” with zombies and cooking. But without cilantro.
I looked my husband as I was reading the story and said, ‘Some of you men are dogs.’
Everyone should purchase this book, especially if you have a friend who has dealt with a lying, cheating spouse and needs a good laugh and a little vengeful inspiration.
If you’ve ever been in a relationship with a cheater, I think you’ll get a kick out of reading one woman’s story of how she got even.
From the awkward moments of infidelities exposed at dinner parties, botched sexual encounters of an obvious sex addict, to the gruesome “zombie” attacks that will shock and amuse, this book kept me reading well past my bedtime.
This book has all the ingredients of a perfect noir comedy – well formed characters, international locations, a fast moving plot with no brakes, and of course Zombies. Revenge is a dish best served cold – and as a betrayed wife, master chef and cookery instructor, Candace cooks up the perfect recipe for the ultimate gazpacho.

Witty and Masterfully crafted! I've never read a book like this one, it may sound cliche but it's just one hell of a read. I've been through and through the same situation as the character and with a predicament like you can't help admire the characters.  It's a perfect read with a touch of well written characters with an awesome plot what is there to loose? I can't help but admire the author because he wrote this wonderful book. It's fast paced which I really liked, I didn't really expect that I was almost half way through and I was just enjoying the read. You know what they say when you enjoy what you're reading right? You never really can tell what page you are until you look at it. And the pages just flew by, the comedic lines just got through me plus the zombies! It's a major plus why I really like Zombies and the way they were presented was really good. I never regret reading this book and I suggest you read this one as well!

Book Review: Blown Circuit by Lars Guignard

From the bestselling author of Lethal Circuit comes the long-awaited sequel, BLOWN CIRCUIT.

Michael Chase is back.
He survived China. Barely.
But now he's got bigger problems.
He has enemies. Deadly enemies.

A pair of coordinates broadcast on an obscure frequency have brought Michael to Istanbul, Turkey where credible chatter has emerged that a terrorist group plans to use a devastating device to hold the world hostage.

Designed by Nikola Tesla, arguably the greatest inventor of the Twentieth Century, the device is experimental, it is capable, and it has been missing for almost sixty years.

If Michael is to prevent a catastrophe, he'll need to get to the device before the Conspiracy or risk upsetting the global balance of power forever. Of course, finding the Tesla Device is one thing, knowing whom he can trust with it is another matter entirely. If Michael is to survive, he'll have to do both. If he doesn't, what started as a bad day is about to become a disaster.

Exiled without the Circle's protection, Chase has spent two years trying to survive a world riddled with half-demons and magic. When he has a run in with a frightened and seemingly innocent demon, he learns the Circle's agenda has changed: the Circle plans to unlock a portal and unleash pure-blood demons into the world. Vowing to stop them, and knowing he can't do it alone, Chase forms a reluctant alliance with Rayna — a sexy witch with an attitude and a secret.

Orangeberry Book Tours – No Innocent Affair by Edward F. Mrkvicka Jr.

‘Thou shalt not commit adultery’ (Exodus 20:14). Have you found yourself contemplating committing adultery? Are you currently in an adulterous relationship? Have you been affected by an act of adultery? If you answered yes to any of these questions, No Innocent Affair: Making Right the Wrong of Adultery is the tool you need. An avid student of the Word, Ed Mrkvicka addresses the fact that adultery is one of the main contributors to the destruction of the American family and seeks to reverse this terrifying statistic. Mrkvicka posits that few who engage in adulterous relationships realize the enormity of the cost of infidelity, both to themselves and innocent people in their lives.
Beginning by comparing God’s view of adultery to society’s view, No Innocent Affair explains in frank yet loving terms that unrepentant adultery is more than just an innocent affair. It is choosing Satan over Jesus and death over life. Mrkvicka desires to lead adulterers to repentance and eternal life with Jesus Christ. Most importantly, No Innocent Affair takes you on a step-by-step biblical progression that leads to the sin of adultery being forgiven and salvation reclaimed. Infidelity is no easy subject to discuss, but it is one that must be addressed. Follow along on this exploration of the consequences and ways out of adultery.

Author Interview – Edward Mrkvicka

Tell us a bit about your family. I live in a small rural town in NW Illinois with my son, Eddie, my daughter, Kelly, our dog, Gus, and our cat, Puddin’.
What is your favorite quality about yourself? I am a practicing Christian.
What is your favorite quote, by whom, and why? “Evil only triumphs when good men say and do nothing“ (Sir Edmund Burke), which has as its genesis Ephesians 5:11 in the Bible – “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose [them].” Burke was so right, as is witnessed by today’s events.
What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life? Raising my two children who have become humble followers of Christ. They are loved and respected by everyone who knows them.

Do you have any advice for writers? This is very general, but be passionate regardless of what you write. Passion comes through to the reader – and you’ll need it when you’re trying to get published, as the business (publishing) has changed so dramatically the last 20 years (and not in a good way). I spend far more time trying to secure a publisher and promoting myself and books than I do actually writing.
Do you have any specific last thoughts that you want to say to your readers? Write everyday, and don’t give up. You have to be singularly devoted to be successful. There are probably thousands of brilliant books written every year that never see the light of day – all because the authors gave up.
What do you do to unwind and relax? I write. When I’m not writing I’m spending time with my son and daughter.
What dreams have been realized as a result of your writing? I’ve been a Christian lay minister and counselor my whole adult life. So I have been blessed to personally see God’s Word help many people. But when I write, I get letters from all over the world from people who have been helped by my writing. Point being, writing has helped spread my ministry in a way I would not have thought possible.
If you could leave your readers with one bit of wisdom, what would you want it to be? From a writing perspective, the following quote.  “The writer does the most good who gives his reader the most knowledge and takes from him the least time.” (Sydney Smith)  If I have a writing style beyond conversational, it’s trying to accomplish Mr. Smith’s goal.
When you wish to end your career, stop writing, and look back on your life, what thoughts would you like to have? That I didn’t waste the most precious earthly commodity – time.

This book is jaw dropping intense from start to finish. If you ever find a book that is action packed and disturbing at the same time it's this book! I dare you to read this book because it amused me so much that I can't even explain my thoughts after I finished the book. The writing style is a major plus for this book, I was captured by the authors depiction of the whole book. I was instantly drawn in by the lines of each character and the predicament they went through. The story is definitely a must read, it's just that I feel that sometimes it's off most of the time. It's different from the usual read and the author did a great job on establishing a good connection with the character and the readers but I feel that it needs more... I don't really know in what aspect of the book but I think that there's something missing. I'm eager to read the next book because I know there's more come! If you're looking for a good read this book is a must and I suggest that you read this one!
